Free register health check

Send us an export of your asset register. We check it against the problems we find on almost every site and send back a short report showing where it stands and what to fix first. No charge and no obligation.

What we check

These are the faults that quietly undermine PM schedules, spares decisions and every KPI drawn from the system.

  • Duplicates. The same equipment recorded twice under different numbers or spellings, splitting its history.
  • Descriptions. Free-text names instead of a consistent noun-modifier convention, and the same manufacturer spelled several ways.
  • Hierarchy structure. Orphaned records, equipment at the wrong level, and flat registers with no system breakdown.
  • Nameplate data. How much equipment is missing make, model or serial number.
  • Criticality. Equipment with no rating, or ratings so uniform they cannot steer effort.
  • PM coverage. Critical equipment with no maintenance plan, and plans still live against equipment that has gone. Needs your PM list.
  • Spares links. Stock items not linked to any equipment, and critical equipment with no spares listed. Needs your material or BOM list.

What the report looks like

A count for each check, worked examples taken from your own records, and the three fixes that would make the most difference.

How it works

  1. Send your export

An equipment or functional location list from SAP PM, IBM Maximo, MaintMaster, AMOS or Brightly, or a spreadsheet register. Excel or CSV, exactly as it comes out of the system. Add your PM list and material list if you want those checks too.

  2. We run the checks

An engineer reviews the register with our own checking tools and picks out real examples from your data, so the findings are concrete rather than generic.

You receive: a short written report within five working days.

  3. Talk it through

A 30-minute call to go through the findings and answer questions. What you do next is up to you: fix it in house, bring us in for one area, or leave it.

Common questions

Why is it free?

Because it is the quickest way to show you how we work and what your data needs. Most registers we see share the same problems, and the report makes them visible in your own records.

What happens to our data?

It is used only to prepare your report, is not shared with anyone, and is deleted 30 days after we send the report. We are happy to sign your NDA before you send anything.

Does the export contain personal data?

An equipment list usually does not. If yours includes names, such as a responsible person or planner, remove those columns before sending. We do not need them.

How big a register can you check?

One site or one system, of any size. For a multi-site estate, pick a representative site and we will start there.

Is there any obligation?

None. You keep the report whether or not we work together.

Tell us which system you run and roughly how big the register is. We will reply within one working day with how to send the export.
