Reliable data. Reliable decisions.

We build asset registers, criticality assessments, FMECA and failure-mode maintenance plans for marine, offshore and process plant. Every record is walked down or traced to a drawing, then loaded into whichever CMMS you run.

Duty pump A is critical; standby B drops a band for redundancy. Its drive-end bearing carries a vibration failure mode (VIB) from work-order history, so the PM is written against it. The pressure transmitter is still a drawing reference until it is walked down.

What we do

Most work starts with the asset register, because every later decision depends on it. We take on any part of the chain, or all of it.

All services and deliverables

Asset registers and hierarchies

P&ID desk studies and site walkdowns, nameplate capture, ISO 14224 hierarchies, noun-modifier naming and tagging schemes, including physical tags where none exist.

Criticality and FMECA

Criticality on your own risk matrix, then FMECA to IEC 60812 grounded in your work-order history, so each failure mode has evidence behind it.

Maintenance strategy and PM procedures

PMs written against named failure modes, with isolation steps and measurable acceptance criteria. Statutory inspection kept separate and auditable.

CMMS data and migration

Clean import files and reconciliation for SAP PM, IBM Maximo, MaintMaster, AMOS and Brightly.

Spare part reviews and stores surveys

Full stores surveys and spares reviews, with every part matched to its equipment in the finished hierarchy and obsolete spares flagged.

Where we work

The method is the same in any asset-heavy plant. These are the two sectors we know best.

More on sectors

Marine and offshore

Vessels, offshore installations and subsea equipment. Our core background is marine engineering, so we work in your PMS as readily as in a shore-side CMMS.

PMS set-up, SFI-coded hierarchies, Flag and Class planned maintenance, NORSOK Z-008 criticality.

Chemicals and process

Specialty chemicals, polymers and the utilities that keep them running: steam, power, cooling water, thermal oxidisers and effluent treatment.

SAP PM hierarchies, FMECA on production lines, statutory inspection kept separate from routine PMs.

Specialty polymer manufacturer, California

Hierarchy rebuilt and reconciled against live SAP PM, then FMECA and new failure-mode PMs for a production line.

  • Every upload row accounted for when the hierarchy was reconciled against SAP
  • Each failure mode on the line matched to the PM that covers it, or flagged as a gap
  • Open actions cut after detection was rescored against evidence

Standards we work to

Using recognised standards means your data stays comparable across sites and is not locked to us or to a software vendor.

How each one is used

  • ISO 14224Equipment taxonomy and failure data
  • IEC 60812FMEA and FMECA
  • SAE JA1011 / JA1012RCM process
  • NORSOK Z-008:2024Criticality and maintenance programmes
  • Noun-modifier namingDescriptions, parts and BOMs

Start with one area

Most clients begin with a single line or system: register, criticality and FMECA for that scope. It shows you how we work before you commit to the rest of the site.
